A. We provide our patients with 24 hour / 7 day coverage. There is always a provider on-call who can be reached through our main office number. Please keep in mind that our on-call service is for emergencies only. Antibiotics and pain medications WILL NOT be prescribed over the phone. It is always best to call for an appointment during office hours and not wait until the weekend if you think you are getting sick.
The provider on-call may not be your regular provider, so be prepared to answer some health history questions for the on-call provider. We do suggest that you call us before heading to an emergency room. This helps minimize patient costs at the ER, inconvenience, and lost time. If you leave a message with one of our on-call providers, please allow twenty minutes for them to return your call before calling again. If you are experiencing a life-threatening emergency, proceed to the nearest emergency room before calling one of our on-call providers.
